Truepoint Wealth Counsel Expands Shareholder Group with Four New Employee-Owners
Truepoint Wealth Counsel is pleased to name four new firm shareholders: Josh Bentz, Emily Coughlin, Katie Newman, and Tim Weinkam, expanding Truepoint’s shareholder group to 42 employee-owners. This year’s expansion marks a significant milestone in that commitment: the 20th year since the launch of Truepoint’s internal succession plan.
“We’re pleased to welcome four more teammates to our shareholder group at the firm,” said CEO and shareholder Steve Condon. “The shareholder opportunity we provide enables us to attract and retain exceptional talent, which in turn ensures the competence, stability, and continuity our clients deserve.”
Truepoint’s succession plan enables senior team members to become firm shareholders. As the firm has continued to grow to more than 100 team members, the shareholder group now represents nearly 40% of the organization.
“Our succession plan was crafted with the steadfast goal of upholding Truepoint’s independence and employee ownership,” emphasized Truepoint’s founder and chairman Michael Chasnoff. In recent years, the wealth management sector has seen many independent firms relinquish control to larger external entities, resulting in fewer truly independent and locally controlled firms.
In contrast, Truepoint remains steadfast in its commitment to independence, employee ownership, and being an employer of choice—an approach that, for more than 20 years, has served the best interests of our clients and our team.
