Truepoint Wealth Counsel Names Two New Shareholders

January 5, 2021 – Truepoint Wealth Counsel is pleased to name David Bross and Deanna Sicking to the firm’s shareholder group. With this announcement, they join a group of 24 employee-owners, signifying Truepoint’s continued commitment to remaining independent and 100% employee owned.

“On behalf of our shareholder group at Truepoint, I am excited to welcome both David and Deanna as new owners in the firm,” said CEO and founder Michael J. Chasnoff. “As the founder of Truepoint over 30 years ago, I’m extremely proud to see two of our team members step into this leadership role. This succession plan was designed to ensure Truepoint’s ability to always remain independent and employee-controlled, which was at the core of our business back in 1990 and carries through today.”

Adopted in 2007, Truepoint’s succession plan allows senior team members to become shareholders in the firm. With a growing team of 66 employees, the shareholder group now comprises 36% of the entire team. In recent years, many firms in the wealth management industry have opted to sell control to large third-party corporations, rapidly shrinking the number of both truly independent and locally controlled firms. “At Truepoint, we are fully committed to independence and employee ownership,” said president and shareholder Steve Condon. “And our shareholder plan continues to be a key pillar in our ability to remain independent. Ultimately, we see this as a win for both our team members and clients — we can attract and reward talented professionals while also providing assurance and stability for clients.”
