Thankful for Being a Best Place to Work in Cincinnati

It is an exciting time to be at Truepoint Wealth Counsel. Our firm was recently recognized by the Cincinnati Business Courier as a Best Places to Work winner. After repeatedly being selected as a finalist in prior years, winning this year is a tremendous milestone for our entire team. And this achievement didn’t happen by chance – we are particularly grateful for the leadership of Truepoint’s President, Steve Condon, and our People Development Specialist, Katrina Hartsel, in shaping Truepoint’s employee experience. We also thank the Business Courier for this acknowledgement and congratulate all the other honorees.

Why is this important? Sure, we have achieved industry awards over the years from such organizations as Barron’s, Financial Times and others. We remain proud of those accolades. But to be acknowledged as a best workplace in our local community is especially gratifying. For one, as we shared in the nomination process, Truepoint’s exceptionally high client satisfaction ratings are a direct reflection of the caliber of our people. In our ongoing recruitment efforts, we continually seek to find the best. As Katrina pointed out in a previous Viewpoint, “We recognize that our people are the key to preserving Truepoint’s greatest assets – our culture and reputation.” Further, we emphasize the importance of finding individuals who can enthusiastically share our founding values: always placing the client’s best interests first and embracing a team approach.

Currently, Truepoint’s client-to-employee ratio is 19:1 – far below the industry median of 31:1. Combined with our integrated approach, which offers the ability to design and implement truly holistic wealth management plans, we are built differently to serve better. And all of our team members, whether providing back-office support or working with clients directly, contribute to this success.

Attracting good people is one priority; keeping them is another. We know that competition for talent is tough, and when a qualified candidate decides to join our team, we put great effort into making sure they are set-up for success and also find that our office is a fun place to be. Employee satisfaction is just as important as client satisfaction, and we regularly survey our entire team in order to pursue initiatives that enhance their Truepoint experience. A few of our favorites are below:

  • Dedication to mentoring and career growth through the creation of a Professional Development Strategy for each employee
  • A “Culture Club” focused on creating an engaging work environment that organizes team lunches and events with families and friends
  • Commitment to our local community through financial contributions and volunteering opportunities
  • A high-energy work environment where health and wellness are encouraged – we’re proud to rank in the top 10% of Humana’s Vitality program

The bottom line is this: Truepoint’s recognition as one of the industry’s top firms is a result of our extraordinary team. We are extremely proud of the rich ecosystem we have created to make Truepoint a firm of choice for clients and employees.
