“Estate planning can be complex, and most people don’t like discussing their estate because it reminds them of their own mortality. I enjoy the process of helping people understand and become comfortable with their estate plans.”
A self-described “numbers guy,” Tom enjoys digging into the intricacies of estate planning. But he has an even greater interest in helping clients understand and embrace the plans they develop with the Truepoint team. With significant experience in the design, development and review of estate plans, Tom is well-suited for the kind of personal service Truepoint is known for. “It is very satisfying when a client says that it’s refreshing to engage Truepoint and work with us – and that they wish they would have known or met us long ago.“
Tom earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loyola University of Chicago and an MBA from Xavier University. Previously he worked for KPMG Peat Marwick as a senior auditor. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA).
Outside of work, Tom serves on the National Advisors Trust Company’s Strategic Advisory Council (SAC). He is also active in the community as chairman of the board for The Foundation for Talbert House and serves as a member of the St. Xavier High School Saint Francis Xavier Society. Tom and his wife are active in their children’s school and were recognized as Parents of the Year by the school’s PTA. Tom enjoys coaching soccer, baseball and basketball.
